2015 Year in Review

Hi All,

pffft.

So Liam and I did the 2016 Year in Review maybe half an hour ago, and afterwards I asked if he was interested in doing the 2015 one. He said it had been too long since it should have been made, so I said I'll do a blog post version.

2015 was, at first, a very promising year. The first three quarters of it were solid, with lots of good content and new things being made. The last quarter of the year was pretty bad. The content that we made was good, but Frank becoming unavailable to record stuff ended the year with a level of uncertainty.

The goal in the beginning was to be professional and consistent. The previous year, we'd had trouble working out what we wanted to do and we also were inconsistent with our uploads because of this. So in 2015, the plan was to have three shows: AIM, IM and Quasar. Like I said before, everything worked fine for the first three quarters of the year. Synergy burned brightly, Quasar was received very well, IM wasn't so much, but these days it doesn't matter anymore. We made the first animation, the first Australia Day Special, GIM and GAIM Industries. We even experimented with channel advertising. Maybe this is why 2015 was the year that burned brightest for us.

But ultimately it burned. The launch of AI Industries and the lack of content at the beginning of December (aside from Poke'mon Colosseum) left us with no choice, but to make videos without Frank. It was March 2014 all over again. We had to deal with the prospect of not having Frank to record with and so made more IM stuff. To this day, Left 4 Dead 2 remains unfinished and Metroid 2's last episode was never uploaded. This led to the beginning of 2016, which began with confusion.

Like 2014, 2015 was a good year for AIM Industries as well as a bad year. New exciting videos to make, but the loss of a single member of the group made the year challenging.

The first part of GIM Deathrun with Erren is the video that best describes 2015. We state at the beginning that Frank is unavailable and decide to continue without him.
