Hi All,
I've just uploaded, tagged and annotated the last episode of Civ 5 multiplayer. While it's not called 'Finale' like most of our final episodes, that's what it is. Anyway, as I made the thumbnail I noticed a few things about the series as it came to an end.
1. I become increasingly insignificant in the thumbnail, mainly because I had a hangover in the last recording session.
2. Liam conquers the world. This isn't so unexpected as France encountered a revolution and in the thumbnail, Liam conquered the revolutionary province. That didn't actually happen in the episodes. The revolution did, but Liam never got any of my cities. By the end though, we agree that Russian conquest of France was inevitable.
3. The episode number gets smaller. Thumbnail creation is a difficult thing and the information you put up seems to become more unnecessary as time goes on because of the scene that you might create for the thumbnail.
Anyway, that's all the thumbnails I made since that session where we didn't record the footage.

Civ 5 pictures
Hi All,
I was looking through some of the pictures I made for the last five Civ 5 episodes and have decided to put them up here on the blog. I did this because I'm pretty sure that the list of Ihasnotomato and the Korea peace treaty were only shown for a few seconds. Even if I'm wrong, I'm putting them here anyway.
Also I thought I should put this picture of Germany here because it is actually wrong. It was the Allies who didn't want a unified Germany and the Soviet Union who did. Perhaps this is unsurprising as all the effort that France, USA and the UK went to in order to defeat Germany would have been a waste if Germany was returned all of its assets so it could start another war. This is unless you only believe that Hitler was a one off thing and that most Germans believed Hitler was a bad thing. For all I know, this could have been the case.
I will be uploading the next episode of Civ 5 multiplayer around 3pm today because Ihasnotomato uploaded the latest episode of Jazzpunk at 3am last night.

Reform Part 2: Channel Banner
Hi All,
Yesterday Liam added the new channel banner, officially replacing the old one and basically declaring part 2 of the changes.
It shows the two of us eating doritos, skittles and drinking alcoholic beverages. By the looks of things we're at a TV station because of all the screens and expensive microphones. Maybe we'll get there one day, but it's a fun picture to look at.
There's also a cigarette. I don't know why. Also there's a pizza box, because sometimes we have dinner.
Anyway, the next thing we're going to do is make the new channel trailer. To be honest, I have no idea how we're going to do it, but some things will be different. We won't say what series we do, or what the schedule is, because that clearly didn't work last time. Liam thinks we should just do a trailer saying what we're about. So we probably will, although I am now a bit excited about trying to replicate the TV station vibe that he's put up.

Reform Part 1: Outro and background
Hi All!
So at last, more than a month since things got real, we have some new looks coming on.
Pimples everywhere, ear piercings, tattoos and leather jackets. You name a period of our lives where we pretend to be unique; we'll start leaving.
Liam emailed me the new look stuff just before he uploaded the first episode of World of Goo, but then he quickly changed his mind on the colours. Here's what they were going to look like:
Now he's gone with a more blue and true look:
And here's the new World of Goo episode:
I've taken the new background and outro and am currently rendering episode 86 of Poke'mon Colosseum, which will go up tomorrow.
I expect there will be more visual changes on the channel, like a new channel banner and maybe a new logo, but we'll see.

Existential Crisis
Hi All!
Yesterday Liam came over to my house and we recorded Civ 5 for 3 hours and then the next Console Gaming Series game for almost 1 hour. The Civ 5 footage didn't capture, so I made a re-enactment and we'll probably record more Civ 5 sooner than expected because of this.
Now the workload has been balanced:
Liam: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. PC Gaming series
Me: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Console Gaming Series and Civ 5
Watch the video and comment; let me know if you think I should keep doing the re-enactments.

Tags
Hi All,
Mabeanie here again to tell you how I feel about tags and why they disappeared from videos I uploaded, and then again why they're back.
I originally tagged videos because I believed that it contributed in videos getting more views, however I started to notice that some videos that Frank made for AIM were getting more views despite not having tags, and in some instances they didn't even have a description. So I stopped because I didn't think it mattered anymore.
Now I tag videos because it will help people, who are interested, find videos related to their topic of interest. If you type in 'sex' into the search bar on our channel (not the YouTube search bar) you will find a bunch of Poke'mon Colosseum episodes because apparently we talk about sex a lot. We're probably compensating for something. Apparently if you type in 'butt' you still get a lot of Poke'mon episodes. If you type in 'women' there's a bit more variety in that there is a lot of Sonic Adventure DX episodes. I don't know why. Try typing up random things and see what comes up.
Okay done.

Correction Update
The schedule will be for the foreseeable duture will go as follows:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will be Tf2 > Overwatch (PC gaming series)
Tuesdays and Thursdays will be Banjo-Kazooie > Pokemon Colosseum (Console gaming series)
Saturdays will continue to be Civ 5 until further notice

The Reform will happen
Hi All,
On Saturday Liam and I went to Avcon in Adelaide and on the bus ride there we decided to make the AIM channel more IM-centred because Frank is unlikely to be available for recording within the rest of the year and the foreseeable future. Frank described his life as being no different to when he first settled down in America. So AIM will get a big reform regarding the schedule.
Currently the schedule is like this:
After the reform we will see:
Banjo-Kazooie Catch up > Overwatch (drunk with Ben). Begins either Thursday 21st of July after Banjo ends or Tuesday 26th so a full week of it is uploaded.*
TF2 > more TF2 > Poke'mon Colosseum > Worms Inbetweenie > Next CGS game.** On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Civ 5 > More Civ 5.*** On Saturdays.
Liam spoke about doing a 'PC gaming series' after the next Console Gaming Series is done (it will be relatively brief anyway) so we'll see what happens. We didn't really discuss that far ahead because obviously we've got the next two months recorded just about.
Liam also spoke about changing the imagery of AIM, such as the much-needed outro card for IM Industries.
Basically the reform will put Frank in the background. Officially he is in the foreground with Liam and I, but in reality he is in the background and is only relevant when we talk about him rather than with him. We last spoke to him verbally in February when we recorded Hotline Miami. Frank had called Ben on Skype and so we ended up talking to him until we thought we could ring him back on my Skype. It didn't work.
So that's everything that I have to say so far. Maybe I'll do an animation soon, but it really depends on whether I can be bothered or not. I have to find a clip that makes me really want to do it.
Bye All!
*Personally I believe that Overwatch should go up as soon as possible, however Liam is very busy with Ihasnochille, Uni and basically 4 out of the 6 videos that go up on AIM right now. He's coming over today, so I'll get him to give me the Overwatch stuff to edit.
**The next Console Gaming Series will be kept secret until the first episode goes up.
***Civ 5 will continue until the end of the game, which will end either by our world domination victory or the beginning of the year 2050; whatever comes first. We haven't disabled any other victory conditions, it's just that domination seems more likely.

Panic Defense
Hi All,
Yesterday I tweeted this:
The trailer needs to change and we've been a bit lax when it has come to making the new one because we want to do one that is different to the ones we've done before. The trailer is more than 50% outdated, with Synergy, Left 4 Dead 2 and overall Akirasora being out of the picture from more than 9 months. Portal 2, Metroid 2 and Quasar in general haven't been uploaded for roughly the same amount of time. IM Industries is pretty much the only thing that is relatively accurately described in the current trailer, although I did have the thought that we don't do many PC game one-offs. This is probably true because TF2 was a recording session I was thinking about turning into a montage video, but obviously I decided against it. Lastly the schedule is out of date. At AIM Industries we tend to change things quite often and the schedule in particular isn't updated as often as it should be. In fact, there is a blog page linked to from the channel that needs updating. Overall, we need a new trailer.
The other point that I wanted to make is that Akirasora hasn't been in a video in more than 9 months, however we did speak to him in February when we recorded Hotline Miami. His lack of a presence got me thinking that maybe we should kick him out of the group, however I tried to emphasise that we just need to get Frank's view of events. I emailed him yesterday and he has since replied, explaining that he has a limited internet connection and so can't record videos with us and that his headset doesn't work anymore so he can't talk to us. He seemed very confused about my sudden burst of panic (or whatever you want to call it) and from the sound of things nothing has changed for him in 4 months. I replied immediately (after calming myself down from the sudden realisation that he is a person with feelings who may as well have been living under a rock since we last spoke to him), and said that IM will have to take a much larger role in the operation of the channel as we've been running under the assumption that at any moment Frank could become available for recording. From the sound of his email, this isn't going to happen for quite a while. I also said that we should definitely keep communications going between us.
Liam will be coming over to my house this coming weekend and we will work on the trailer for AIM Industries. I expect that we will also iron out any misconceptions about the current situation.
Lastly, I find it important to work out what triggered my burst of panic. We have gained subscribers since the launch of the TF2 series, with 2 subscribers being gained in the last 30 days and 1 in the 30 -day period before that. One of the new subscribers, our most recent actually, commented that he likes our TF2 stuff and so he subscribed. This got me thinking that IM Industries, as a section of AIM, has gained support rather than AIM as a whole. The subscriber gain, the comment (I guess) and the need for a new trailer probably triggered the burst of panic inside me, and so in my head I declared a state of emergency. Right now, I believe the state of emergency is over, but AIM will have to change. I still feel a bit uneasy over this situation.
Thanks for reading,
Bye All!
Yesterday I tweeted this:
Basically I've been bored at home. I have tons of editing to do, but it's a matter of being bothered to do it. Yesterday, I don't know what triggered it (but I'll touch on that later in the post), I had a spike of thoughts that AIM needs to change, for better or worse.I just sent a very sincere email to @Akirasora34. I feel like thins are getting bad as it's been 8 months since we've contacted him.— Mabeanie Beanie (@MrMabeanie) July 12, 2016
